Browne Molyneux over at laeastside.com has a thoughtful post about racism and the fallout from the passage of California's Proposition 8 - especially as shown in the LA Times.
People, please keep in mind that the exit poll that showed black voters favoring proposition 8 by 70% to 30% only asked 224 black voters, and I bet they were all from one poll. Do you think that is enough of a sample size to extrapolate to all black voters in the state? I sure don't. Especially when compared to pre-election polls which had less than 50% of black voters in favor of prop 8.
Please, don't be racist. Please, don't fall victim to the race-baiting that the right wing is surely going to play up. We are all minorities. We must stand together.
If we must blame any one group for the passage of prop 8, how about the white republicans who make up so much of the voting population in california.
